Matthew Bell (born 13 March 1977) is a retired Australian footballer who attended St. Joseph's Nudgee College during his high school years and played for Brisbane City and Brisbane Strikers in the NSL. During his time at Strikers he captained the team for two seasons and played along with Wayne Srhoj, Shane Smeltz and Shane Stefanutto.[1] He represented Australia in 1995 at U-20 level but failed to make the squad for the 1995 FIFA World Youth Championship. In 1996 he represented the Australian Olyroos in the lead up to the 1996 but only earned a sole Olyroo cap and again failed to make the 1996 Olympics Squad.
