Matt O'Connor is a music producer, songwriter and A&R manager originally from Sydney, Australia. He has been in the music industry for over 20 years including a highly successful term at Warner Music Australia[1] which built him a reputation as one of the most experienced and respected A&R managers in the country.[2]

His projects have sold over one million records with an ARIA track record that includes 17 top 10 records, 12 top 20 records and 16 top 40 records.[3]

He is now the owner and Managing Director of The A&R Department, an independent A&R consultancy company specialising in artist development, music distribution and project management.[1][4]
