Single 4 date ="Beautiful Machine" is the name of the seventh album from
Shihad and was releasedApril 21 2008 inNew Zealand and releasedMay 17 2008 inAustralia .The album is much softer than previous Shihad releases, including many electronica elements and 80's backing rhythms - to the point where lead singer
Jon Toogood has called some tracks "dance songs."The lead single "One Will Hear the Other" was released early January 2008, where it became New Zealand's 6th Most Played Song between then and March.
"Vampires" was the albums second single --- and has surpassed One Will Hear the Other in airplay, peaking as the 4th Most Played Song in New Zealand, as well as the Most Played Kiwi song on the radio.
"Beautiful Machine" has been named the third single, with glam-rock track "Rule the World" also receiving funding from RIANZ to have a video produced later in the year.
