Racoș — Commune — Coordinates: 46°5′N 25°32′E / 46.083°N 25.533°E Country Romania County Brașov County Population (2002)[1] 3,178 Time zone EET (UTC+2) – Summer (DST) EEST (UTC+3) Racoș (German: Unter-Krebsdorf; Hungarian: Alsórákos) is a commune in Brașov County, Romania. It is composed of two villages, Mateiaș (Mátéfalva) and Racoș. At the 2002 census, 57.3% of inhabitants were Hungarians, 21.8% Romanians and 20.7% Roma. 33.4% were Reformed, 23.3% Romanian Orthodox, 21% Pentecostal, 17.7% Unitarian and 3.6% Roman Catholic.
