Marvie Ann Beck is India’s award winning makeup artist and hair stylist. She has been working in International Makeup Industry for past 17 years and has done makeup and hair for Aishwarya Rai, Kareena Kapoor, Malaika Arora Khan, Bipasha Basu, Yana Gupta, Katrina Kaif, Sushmita Sen, Deepika Padukone, Tabu, Manisha Koirala, Urmila Matondkar, Madhu Sapre, Sheetal Malhar, Jesse Randhawa, Shobha De, Parmeshwar Godrej, Lata Mangeshkar and many more. Among gentlemen – she has worked with Shahrukh Khan, Shahid Kapoor, Arjun Rampal, Milind Soman, Kamal Haasan, Rahul Dev and more famous actors and supermodels. Marvie also won best-make up artist award of by Dr. Vijay Mallya at Kingfisher Awards Ceremony, Goa.

She has been working in all sorts of visual mediums such as television, film, theatrical, fashion, magazines and other similar productions including all aspects of the modeling industry.

Marvie Beck has also worked with Academy Award Winner Actress Cate Blanchett; she did Makeup and Hair of her for premiere of ‘Elizabeth’ in India. She also mentored and groomed 13 finalists of Ford SuperModel - International model search by the Ford Agency. She was also judge for L'Oréal Professionnel COLOUR TROPHY Grand Finale. Marvie also trained 20 final contestants of finale of the Mrs Maharashtra 2011 on Makeup.

She is also an active contributor to Times of India for Beauty and Makeup Features.

Educational Background

Marvie Beck attended Delamar School of Make up, London which is known to have trained multiple Oscar award winners. Marvie was their first Indian student apart from Mr. Amitabh Bachchan himself who attended a workshop for personal makeup. Marvie was trained by Penny Delamar herself who is a world famous make up artist and celebrated author of ‘The Complete Makeup Artists. Penny Delamar had designed looks and done make up for Hollywood Stars such as Pierce Brosnan, Michelle Pfeiffer, Anthony Hopkins and many more stars.

What makes Marvie so unique?

Marvie is eminent for her Natural, Dewy, Glamour, Cover Girl, Bridal – both Ethnic and Western, contemporary looks and also does highly complex ‘High Definition Makeup’ using light reflectors and ingredients such as minerals. Marvie was a color consultant for Hindustan Unilever for eight years. Marvie has worked with all top notch international and Indian brands including include Maybelline, Lakme, Loreal, Nivea, Ponds & Garnier. She is highly skilled in almost all forms of body and face painting, aging make up, wigs, moustaches, theatrical, corrective and camouflage makeup techniques. She also possesses a rarely found special technique of bronzing the body and even water-proofing it for the Brazilian golden tanned look.

Teaching

She has trained make up teams from foreign and Indian brands such as Estee Lauder, Lakme, Chambour & hair dressers from top elite Salons such as Juice, Be Blunt, Nalinis, Dilshads, Kroma K, Tresstalk. She has also been grooming instructor for Jet Airways and trained over 100 batches. She has also groomed and mentored employees from International hotel chains such as Grand Hyatt, Taj Group, Grand Maratha Sheraton, Marriott and many more.

Marvie has also trained the Helen Keller institute for the blind, deaf and dumb for teaching youngsters who are deaf and dumb to learn make up and acquire a specialized skill and profession. She has helped people who suffer from Vitiligo and those who have birth marks on their face to do make up.
