Marverine Cole is a British radio and television presenter and news reporter from Birmingham, England. She has worked for BBC Midlands Today, BBC Radio WM, Imagine FM, ITV Central News, Sky News, and Touch FM.
She studied for a degree in business studies at De Montfort University (graduating in 1993), and a postgraduate diploma in broadcast journalism at the University of Central England in Birmingham.
As a freelance presenter for Sky News, she presents news updates for the network, usually in the overnight slot. She has broke several major stories while presenting on Sky, including the 2009 Iranian presidential election results, the Abruzzo earthquake and the end of the 2008 Mumbai terrorist attacks. She is also an experienced showbiz reporter.
Marverine Cole is one of the few regular black female faces on British television news.
She is also director of Funf Media, a television production company based in Birmingham.[1]
