She was a French noblewoman of the Bonaparte family, and the eldest child and first daughter of Victor, Prince Napoléon and his wife Princess Clémentine of Belgium.
Marriage
On October 17, 1938, in London, England, she married Comte Serge de Witt (b. 30 December 1891 – d. 21 July 1990 in Cendrieux, France), with whom she had ten children:
- Marie Eugénie de Witt (b. 29 August 1939), married firstly Comte Peter Cheremetieff on November 9, 1961, no issue, divorced in 1975. Married secondly Hélie de Pourtalés on October 24, 1975, no issue.
- Hélène de Witt (b. 22 November 1941), married (17 October 1959) Henri du Lau d'Allemans, Comte du Lau d'Allemans (b. 17 Mar 1927 in Paris, France) on October 17, 1959, in Paris, France, and had three children:
- Jean du Lau d'Allemans, Comte du Lau d'Allemans (b. 18 December 1960 in Périgueux, France), married firstly Joy Gould-Ford on December 18, 1988, divorced with no issue. Married secondly Isabel Santo Tomás on December 16, 2000, and had two sons:
