Location
Manadrin Oriental, Sanya is located in Sanya on the Chinese island of Hainan, which has been referred to as “the Chinese Hawaii”.[1] The resort area has earned a reputation as a top tourist destination.[2]
Sanya Phoenix International Airport is reachable from a variety of major domestic cities, Shēnzhèn, Guǎngzhōu, Běijīng, Shànghǎi, Xī’ān and Kūnmíng, as well as a few international destinations.[3]
The Hotel
Mandarin Oriental, Sanya is situated on Coral Bay, is spread across thirty acres of land, and offers views of the South China Sea from much of the property.[4]
The resort operates 297 guest rooms including a number of duplex villas, each with dedicated butler service and infinity pools.[5]
There are three pools located at the property, VISTA, ACTIVO, and TRANQUILLO offering lap swimming, recreational activities, and quietude, respectively.[6]
Mandarin Oriental, Sanya contains the Spa Village, home to The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Sanya, and the resident Shaolin Kung Fu master who teaches t'ai chi to guests in the mornings. Yoga and Qigong classes are available too.[7]
The hotel also has ten restaurants and bars, including a seafood restaurant – Fresh – and MOBlues – a cigar and whiskey lounge.
The Spa
The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Sanya encompasses a 3,200 m2 (34,000 sq ft) Spa Village with 18 treatment rooms, each of which has a private steam shower and outdoor bathtub. On premises, a licensed doctor administers traditional Chinese Medicine.[8]
