Eric Saade participated in the Swedish Melodifestivalen 2010 with "Manboy" and finished first in the second semi-final in Sandviken, and therefore progressed to the final in Stockholm on March 13, 2010.
Eric Saade took part in the Melodifestivalen final on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at Globe Arena in Stockholm, in a bid to represent Sweden in Eurovision Song Contest 2010, held in Oslo, Norway. He came in 3rd place overall to the winning song by "This is My Life" by Anna Bergendahl with a total of 159 points, to Bergendahl's 214. Salem Al Fakir came runner up with 183 points.
Very notably, he was neck and neck in the televoting campaign bringing in 19.1% (334,750 votes) from the televoting public to Bergendahl's 20.8% (363,546 votes).

The song is an up-tempo track about love. It is sung from a man´s point of view who sings about a girl he has feelings for. He wants to show what she means to him and his desires for her by singing "i´ll show you how to love".
