This is a list of media related to the Dragon Quest video game series. Dragon Quest is a series of console role-playing games published by Square Enix (formerly Enix). The original game in the series, renamed Dragon Warrior, was released in 1986 in Japan and in 1989 in North America. Dragon Quest games are released in Japan and are later localized for the North American market under the Dragon Warrior title until 2004 with the release of Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King; The latter game was also the first main series game to be released outside Japan and North America. Dragon Quest has also made a number of spinoff video game titles have been released in Japan, North America and Europe.

Dragon Quest is Square Enix's second most successful franchise after Final Fantasy and is cited as the most popular video game franchise in Japan.[1][2] The Dragon Quest series was the first to have its video game soundtrack performed by a live orchestra.[3]
