Downtown Cincinnati is the central business district of Cincinnati, Ohio, and one of its 52 neighborhoods.

Geography

Downtown Cincinnati's streets are arranged in a grid configuration. It is bisected by Vine Street.

Often considered to be the heart of Cincinnati, Fountain Square is located in the center of the Central Business District. The 1871 dedicated Tyler Davidson Fountain stands prominently on the often busy city square.

Downtown Cincinnati is marked by its large collection of historic architecture and contains several historic districts on the National Register, including East Fourth Street Historic District (Cincinnati, Ohio), Lytle Park Historic District, Main and Third Street Cluster, Ninth Street Historic District, Race Street Historic District.

Economy

Chiquita Brands International, Kroger, Macy's, Inc., The E.W. Scripps Company, Fifth Third Bank, and Procter & Gamble are all headquartered in Downtown Cincinnati.

All 25 of Cincinnati's tallest buildings are located in the Central Business District.
