Coaching career
Jones was the 11th head football coach for the Abilene Christian University Wildcats located in Abilene, Texas and he held that position for two seasons, from 1977 until 1978.[1][2] His coaching record at Abilene Christian was 18 wins, 4 losses, and 1 tie. As of the conclusion of the 2007 season, this ranks him 12th at Abilene Christian in total wins and second at Abilene Christian in winning percentage (.804).[3]
