David Braz (born May 21, 1987 in Guarulhos), is a Brazilian central back. He currently plays for Flamengo.

Career

Made professional debut in 1–1 home draw for Palmeiras against Bragantino in the Campeonato Paulista on February 10, 2007.

Has also been capped at Under-18 [1] and Under-20 [2] level for Brazil.

Panathinaikos

On January 19, 2009 David officially signed a four and a half years contract as a free transfer with the Greek side of Panathinaikos.During the summer transfers the team needed to free up a foreign players' spot, so it was decided that he will be loaned for one year to Flamengo, so that he has the chance to play and gain more experience.The team believes in his potential, so there is no release clause.

Flamengo

On July 21, 2009 David signed with Brazilian Série A club Flamengo.^[1] In July 2010 Flamengo acquired 60% of David's rights and renewed his contract for four years.
