Musical career
The first Raynham fronted Belisha line up originated from 2000. The bands musical style altered across the bands 8 year career, which saw them release 2 full length albums, and a number of singles. The best known of these was the No.2 Rock chart hit 'Who's a clever boy'.[3]
This single was used as a backing track to an interview by Jonathan Ross, on his BBC1 chat show with boxer Ricky Hatton and the band were described as 'Britain's hottest band' in the Rav Singh gossip column in the News of the World.
In May 2007 the band appeared at the international music industry festival 'The Great Escape' in Brighton, where the set attracted the attention of the MySpace music team, who booked the band for a 'heroes' show in London, and made them worldwide featured artist on the MySpace portal.
A sold out show at the Carling Academy in London brought controversy, as Raynham III loosed a 30 foot flamethrower.[1] Other festival shows include a main stage appearance at the Isle Of Skye festival, where the band shared the main stage with Kasabian.
Late 2007 saw the band head out on its first headline tour, and included a sold out performance at Glasgow Cathouse, and a London headline show that saw the band covering the stage in jam, while dressed as crows.
Belisha went through a personnel and name change in 2009, to become Kings Cross.[4] The band released 2 Raynham written singles in 2009, and an album 'Eyetunes' in March 2010.[3]
Raynham organised and performed the UK's highest ever gig on top of Ben Nevis on October 16, 2010. This included carrying PA system, power generator, drums and all musical instruments to the top on the bands backs. The performance was watched by approximately 200 people in sub-zero conditions. A TV show spin-off from this event, is rumoured to be in pre-production.[5]
TV
His early career involved walk-ons and modelling on shows like [How to Look Good Naked]. He landed his first main role acting in a new BBC comedy sketch show slated for 2011. Raynham is now primarily involved in show concepts. He has created a new buzz show named Kings Cross Extreme World Tour. It is described in the press as Top Gear meets Pole to Pole with Michael Palin meets Spinal Tap. Raynham has just completed the first part of the Extreme world tour. Playing a fully electric gig on top of Ben Nevis [6] Raynham is rumoured to be working on a new show called Why We Do Stuff. The pitch describes him as an exceedingly less intelligent Brian Cox (physicist) of the biological sciences. The show sees Raynham try to unravel the evolutionary basis for our every day actions, in a comically engaging way. It is rumoured that he is working in conjunction with Essex University and is in negotiation with major broadcasters.
Acting/Voice Over
Raynham is currently playing Lysander in A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare for a Gutenberg/Librivox project.
Health & Fitness
Raynham is a private health consultant/instructor and provides 'red carpet' crash courses. This aided his development of the 60 Second Fit DVD which is slated for UK release in January 2012.
