- How to Look Good Naked
"How to Look Good Naked" is a television programme, first aired on British
Channel 4 in2006 , in which fashion stylistGok Wan encourages women who are insecure with their bodies to strip nude for the camera. The programme is unique among other similar makeover shows in that it never encourages participants to undergocosmetic surgery or lose weight.Format
The format of the show is based on the self esteem building exercises that Wan guides the woman though. These include:
* Driving around in a van with a picture of the woman in question semi-nude on the side, asking passers-by what they think. The response shown is positive, thus building the self esteem of the woman.
* Wan burns the woman's underwear, replacing it with more flattering items, including 'tummy tuck pants'.
* The woman is photographed naked.
* In the emotive finale, the woman parades down the catwalk with her new look in front of family and friends.
*However, more recently Wan has used different shock tactics to encourage women to love their bodies and feel sexy. He has had women pose naked in London shop windows, had a semi-naked woman on the front of made-up newspaper 'Naked News' handed out on a busy London street, and stopped women in the street to ask if they have 'Lady Lines'.
Catchphrases
Wan's favourite and most famous catchphrases include 'bangers', which is his pet name for women's breasts, and 'gorgeous'!
