DAV Public School, Hehal is an educational institution in Jharkhand located at Itki Road Ranchi, Jharkhand, India.

The school features education from the Prep to the Senior Secondary levels. It is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, and is managed by DAV College Managing Committee.

Overview

The school has a strength of over 8000 students and the curriculum is based on CBSE directives under the guidance of DAV College Managing Committee.

The school has laboratories for physics, chemistry, biology, computers and maths. The school libraries are well equipped with necessary books. Apart from these, the school has state-of-art facilities for recreational activities and other extra-curricular activities.

Apart from curriculum, DAV Hehal gives due importance to extra-curricular activities too, facilitating the overall development of its students. For that purpose, the students are divided into four houses viz. Dayananda, Aurobindo, Vivekananda and Shradhananda. The students regularly participate in various inter-house activities which pervades over all disciplines including social-cultural, sports, technical etc..

Campus

The school consists of separate campuses for primary, secondary and higher secondary levels located at different places. The junior wing is located at the West End Park. The middle ad senior wings are located at Itki Road where the school's head office is located.

History

The school started off with its campus located at Nawagarh House in 1988.

With increasing number of students it augmented its expanse and had its campuses located at Itki Road and West End Park. Currently, the school operates with its new campus at West End Park and a campus at Itki Road (two blocks). The old campuses at West End Park and Nawagarh House are obsolete.

Mr. S.R. Modgil is the current Principal of the school.
