Lyrics
Has been considered one of the great Argentine rock ballads, sometimes even being added to the select group led Muchacha (Ojos de papel) (1969) of Almendra.
Music
It's a rock ballad and has a slow pace. The song starts with a piano, something unprecedented in the career of Gustavo Cerati, then the drums start, and then guitar and bass. Ironically what made Ahí vamos so successful was what rocker was, and Crimen was his biggest hit, and is a ballad.
Music video
The music video was directed by Joaquín Cambre, which also made the videos of "La excepción" and "Adiós". The video environment of the late 50's, and Cerati appears saying the following sentence:" Lately Days and nights are too much, if anything I learned in this city is that: there are no guarantees, no one gives you anything. Everything could end up terribly wrong ... but this case had to solve it. "
The video shows a nonlinear story that begins with the end: the discovery of the murder of a private detective (Gustavo Cerati) in his office, at dawn. Then back to the past, where we explain the circumstances under which this detective is put to death. The night before, Cerati begins to investigate the private life of a beautiful woman, on behalf of a client. The photograph is for their encuestros loving, and she surprises him. While later the detective in a bar, she seduces him to access the photos that the accused. Both leave the place and drove to the office Cerati. Once there, she closes the door and shot him repeatedly. The detective falls to the ground, dead, as he begins to dawn, and return a few seconds before they found his body in the opening sequence of the video (after the preface reported by Cerati).
The staging is highlighted by a game of contrasts between light and shadow, and the mastery of tone blue. In addition, calls attention to the radical change of hair style Gustavo Cerati, who is known for his laughters disordered, but in this production has a slicked-back hair, carefully combed to the right side.
