Crimen Sollicitationis (English: the crime of soliciting) is the first single by Spanish Ska punk group Ska-P from their album Lágrimas y Gozos. The song was released as a single on 5 September 2008, and the album on 8 September 2008.[1]
Title and text
The title of the song refers to a document sent out by the Vatican in 1962 specifying the procedures to be followed when trying cases of clerics accused of having made sexual advances in connection with the sacrament of Confession. However, the lyrics are about paedosexual behavior by priests and equate Pope Benedict XVI with Judas.
