Cootamundra Railway Station is located on the Main Southern railway line in Cootamundra, New South Wales, Australia. It opened in 1877 [1] and is at an altitude of 329 metres. The station consists of a large building on the main platform which previously housed a Railway Refreshment Room, and a now disused island platform. The environs contain several goods sidings and grain silo. The largest overhead signal gantry in the Southern Hemisphere was erected at Cootamundra in 1943, and was relocated and now stands preserved in the station surrounds.
