Contents

Aims and Scope

The focus of Computational Materials Science is existing and new advanced materials and their applications. Coverage encompasses experimental research, in concert with computational modeling of materials properties, materials phenomena. Article topics also discuss synthesis, materials characterization, materials processing, structures and devices. Another topic for publication are the methods employed to achieve numerical simulation.[1]

Related subject coverage for this journal is materials data processing, materials computer simulation, and materials science.[2]

Invited contributions are gathered from quantum, classical and statistical mechanical studies. Topic coverage of invited contributions include tight binding method (electronic band structure), embedded atom method, density functional theory, and simulations (modeling) at applicable scales (atomic, molecular). Other topics in this area include properties of materials (electronic, dynamical, transport, mechanical, growth and thermodynamic). Types of materials include metals, alloys, semiconductors, insulators, superconductors, biomaterials, polymers, ceramics and composites in liquid, crystal, amorphous and cluster-like states.[1]

The readership for this publication are researchers in the fields of physics, chemistry, materials science, materials engineers, and other scientists involved with materials phenomena and computational modeling.[1][4]
