Kaup, 1850The Southern Banded Snake Eagle or Fasciated Snake Eagle (Circaetus fasciolatus) is a species of bird of prey in the Accipitridae family. It is found in Kenya, Mozambique, Somalia, South Africa, Tanzania, and Zimbabwe. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests. It is threatened by habitat loss.
