Christina Davis (aka as 'Christina Ballerina') was a contestant on the first season of Big Brother Australia (2001).
Early life
Christina Davis was born in North Sydney, NSW Australia. She went to High School at The McDonald College of Performing Arts in Strathfield. She is a stand-up comedian, actress and voiceover artist.
Career
Christina Davis was a contestant on the first season of Big Brother Australia, and subsequently Celebrity Big Brother. Known as 'Christina Ballerina' on the show, this was because she had been a professional ballet dancer, graduating from the Australian Ballet School and performing with West Australian Ballet and Les Ballets de Monte Carlo.
After Big Brother, Christina appeared on the cover of the October 2001 edition of Ralph magazine, as well as in several other publications, The Weakest Link and was an on-air announcer at Central Coast radio station Sea FM 101.3
Currently a stand-up comedienne, Christina has appeared at both the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Edinburgh Fringe Festival with her solo shows ‘The Secret Diaries of Unnamed Fraser”, ‘Sex’ and ‘Bite Me.’ In 2008 she performed at New York Underground Comedy Festival.
She has a forest planted in her name, “The Christina Ballerina Forest”, 10 000 trees in the Adelaide Murray Basin thanks to her association with environmental group Planet Ark. She was also a spokesperson for their national campaign on Mobile Phone Recycling.
Television appearances have included Stand-Up Australia (Comedy Channel), Stand-up! (ABC), Rove Live (Channel Ten), Good Morning Australia (Channel 10), FHM’s Search for Australia’s Funniest Man (Channel 10).
She entered FHM Magazine’s Search for Australia’s Funniest Man Competition in 2005 and after being the only female to make the National Finals, it was changed to FHM’s Search for Australia’s Funniest Man..or er Woman.
