Cerebro (Latin - Brain) — is a software complex for media project management. Cerebro is mostly used by VFX-studios, videogame developers, advertisement, TV series production companies and web designers. The software complex is something like a forum where the participants of the project can set tasks, monitor project progress and statistics, comment reports and attached files (video, images, office documents etc.), exchange high resolution files. Clients versions: Desktop (Mac OS X, Microsoft Windows, Linux), Web based[2], mobile (iPhone OS[3]). Cerebro is proprietary software available in the English and Russian. Translations into additional languages are planned.

Project management

  • Gantt Chart: links between tasks, any number of sub-levels, links between task from different projects
  • various Interest task review options, personal task list, categorization and visibility setting options
  • assigning one or more employees on task, calculation of progress and time expenditures, e-mail notification on new tasks or reviews in system
  • project content : “drag and dropping” necessary files into the program window, tag system for task
  • generating project and user reports

Reviewing

  • Mirada (Spanish - View) viewer that supports such formats as: Cineon, DPX, OpenEXR, RAW, QuickTime movie etc.
  • audiovisual reviewing: drawing comments on content, typing text comments, record mouse cursor movement and audio – comments, reviews are automatically saved
  • on-line reviewing option: mouse cursor and timeline movement, pan, zoom, change of files in playlist are all synchronized
  • The Mirada module uses OpenGL – that is why you will be able to view and draw over high resolution graphic files (up to 32K)
  • supports images with large color depth, Gamma, Gain and Linear to Logarithmic color correction options (accelerated by GPU)
  • Mirada Pro: Stereoscopic 3D support [4], Online reviewing sessions, Color grading

  • integrated Cargador (Spanish - Night Porter) module managing file delivery
  • automatic archiving of attached directories and files
  • access to local resources with symbolic links
  • downloaded files are cached and are not doubled
  • control of all company download/upload queues
  • auto and manual restart of file downloads/uploads
