Eric Henry Knell

Eric Henry Knell (born 1 April 1933 [ Who was Who1897-2007: London, A & C Black, 2008 ISBN ISBN 9780199540877] ;died 10 January 1961) was the Anglican Bishop of Reading from 1954 until 1972 [The Times, Thursday, Jan 13, 1972; pg. 14; Issue 58374; col C "Resignation of the Bishop of Reading"] . He was educated at Trinity College, Oxford and ordained in 1929 [Crockford's clerical directory 1976 Lambeth, Church House, 1975 ISBN 0108153674] . In 1972 he retired to Lingfield and continued to serve the Church as an Assistant Bishop within the Diocese of Oxford.
