wetland , making access to Bridge Island Meadows extremely difficult. [ [http://www.sierraclub.org/sierra/200705/sea.asp] Sierra Club International: Ten urban escapes, just a paddle stroke away] The town of Millis offers three
canoe launch points into the Charles River near this eighty acregreenspace . One can approach the property by paddling akayak or other small, maneuverableboat up the Charles River and turning west near theMedfield State Hospital up a smallstream that leads to South End Pond. The passage to South End Pond through Bogastow Brook is even more challenging as it is a small, intermittent tributary that is thick withvegetation .Boat landing is made made very difficult by the
grass es and otherplants that grow tall and thick but, according to the Trustees of Reservations, a "successful journey is rewarded bybushwhacking to a 130-foottree -coveredknoll at the south end of the Reservation offering glimpses of the surrounding floodplain." This isolated place is also of interest to birdwatchers.
