Marty Ozinga III (born January 9, 1950) is the Republican nominee for U.S. Congress in ushr|Illinois|11| ( [http://nationalatlas.gov/printable/images/preview/congdist/il11_109.gifmap] ). He was announced as a replacement candidate on April 30 after New Lenox Mayor Tim Balderman dropped out of the race abruptly after winning the February 5 primary [ [http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/politics/chi-11thcongdropout_23feb23,1,2632063.story Republican drops out of hotly contested 11th District race] Hal Dardick, Chicago Tribune, February 23, 2008] .

Ozinga is the president of [http://ozinga.com/index.php?NavID=0 Ozinga Bros.] , the largest family-owned concrete company in the country. He first worked there when he was 15, becoming General Manager in 1973 after graduating from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The company has grown since then from one location and about 80 employees to 30 locations and about 1,200 people in the Chicago metropolitan area.

Ozinga has served on four school boards and is an active board member of Restoration Ministries, a recovery program for drug addicts in Harvey. He travels overseas each year to work with local health professionals to relieve community health problems such as AIDS, malaria, and malnutrition.
