Cuautitlán Assembly

Cuautitlán Assembly: The Cuautitlán Assembly Plant is a Ford Motor Company manufacturing facility located in Cuautitlán Izcalli, México. The 202-acre (0.82 km²) site opened in 1964 and currently builds the Fiesta. Construction of the plant started in 1962, completed and inaugurated on November 4, 1964. The assembly plants began operation in 1970.^[1]

In 2010, the plant switched to build the Fiesta subcompact for the North American market.^[2]

Past products include the Ford LTD, Mercury Grand Marquis, Ford Thunderbird, Mercury Cougar (sold as a Ford), Ford Tempo, Mercury Topaz (sold as Ford Ghia), Ford Contour, and Mercury Mystique (also sold as a Ford).
