Coordinates: 28°45′N 76°37′E / 28.75°N 76.617°E / 28.75; 76.617 Dighal is a village in the Jhajjar district of Haryana, India. The majority of population is Jat community (caste). It now comes under Jhajjar District. The clan in this village is Ahlawat. This village was formed by Chaudhary Deegh Ram. The main occupation of the people here is agriculture while some residents have gone and joined defence forces. It is also famous for wrestlers and judo players. A visionary named Vijay Ahlawat was born in Dighal. A freedom fighter from Dighal, Captain Sheo Singh, took part in the First World War. During his lifetime, he contributed a lot for the upliftment of this village and for the Ahlawat community and remained Pradhan of this community (27 villages of ahlawat khap) for his whole life. Now Pradhan of the village is Deepak (Khallu Palahwan). He is a very noble person, visionary, hardworking, prudent man. We must feel proud of being Indian as Ahlawat. Other castes inhabiting Dighal are Brahmins, Banias, Khati, Teli, Nai, Panchal, Bairagi, Chhipi, Dhanak, Chure(Bhangi) and Chamar.Among the Brahmins Pt.Har Narain Das Sub. Major has done a lot of social work after his retirement.Other famous person are Naveen Ahlawat practicing advocate in Supreme Court and he is activily involved in protection of human rights.He worked at National Human Rights Commission also.

Dr. Dharmvir singh Ahlawat who is first Ph.D. holder in the village and university's Professor, Educationist and well known researchor in the field of Physics. His great grand father Sri Ram(Sriya) was very famous socialist,vad( Aruvedic Doctor) and holy man.Suresh Ahlawat son of Mr Dharambir Ahlawat represented India in U17 Handball comman wealth games 2010 hold at Cameroon(Africa)and won bronze medal.He was also vice captain of the team. He alaways gives a breath taking performance in handball. Asst Comdt Aman Singh (serving) of Dalyan Panna also won 2 Gold medals and 1 Silver in Judo in All India Police Games in 1982-1983.Brig. Ran Singh -Son of Capt. Kehri Singh from Dighal village. Former Speaker Haryana (1968–1972). Again Speaker and Minister in Janta Dal Govt. Commanded 3 Jat in war with Pakistan in 1948 in Kargil. His son Capt Badan Singh Ahlawat of 3 Para Regt an elite force, died in an avalanche on a hazardous mission in Kashmir in 1963. He won the Gulmarg Skiing Championship two times. The Govt. College Dujana is named after him. Brig. Ran Singh. Bhim Singh Ahlawat -IAS.Son of Capt. Dalpat Singh of Deeghal village. He was former Member Punjab Public Service Commission and on formation of Haryana became Chairman Haryana Public Service Commission.

Captain Dalpat Singh Ahlawat- Vice Chairman, District Board Rohtak from 1920 to 1952.A very prominent jat leader widely respected throughout the area. Capt. Dalpat Singh and Capt Kehri Singh were brothers. The Deeghal Govt. High School is named after him.the popular goldsmith of Dighal is Sh. Dalip Singh & Sons Jewellers, Mr. Naresh is also a famous DTP operator in Rohtak shop named 'Master Computer' Near Jat college Rohtak.
