The High Uintas Wilderness is a protected wilderness area located in northeastern Utah covering the Uinta Mountains, encompassing parts of Summit, Duchesne, Uintah, and Daggett counties. Designated as a protected site in 1984, the property is managed by the U.S. Forest Service. The highest peak in Utah, Kings Peak, is within the wilderness area as well as others of Utah's highest peaks, particularly those over 13,000 feet.
