The Colegio de San Bartolome de Novaliches (commonly abbreviated as CSBN) has come about as a result of the comprehensive development plan of the San Bartolome de Novaliches Parish Pastoral Council. A 1-hectare property was bought, and 4,000 square meters of it were allotted for the school. The Pre-school Department opened in June 1995 with 12 enrollees at the old site. Due to its remarkable development brought about by each pupil's academic performance for the specific school year, the ever-active and enthusiastic former parish priest, The Reverend Monsignor Anselmo P. Pamintuan, envisioned of putting up the Elementary Department. Amidst resistance from some quarters, in June 1996, the Elementary Department started to operate with 250 enrollees. Because of its notable increase, during the mid-year of 1996, upon the instructions of the late archbishop of Manila, His Eminence Jaime L. Cardinal Sin, the school was housed in the basement of the new church to accommodate all the pupils who undoubtedly believe in the Catholic education that the school offers. As the CSBN continued to progress, in the summer of 1997, a single-floor building with 5 classrooms was built to house the High School Department. By the School Year 1999-2000, the school had witnessed the first graduates of the Secondary level.
The school experienced its lowest point during the School Years 2000-2001 and 2002-2003. But, on May 2003, with the fresh leadership and support of The Reverend Father Albert N. Delvo, the school's superintendent, who was appointed by the bishop emeritus of Novaliches, The Most Reverend Teodoro C. Bacani, Jr., DD, to succeed Rev. Msgr. Pamintuan as the school director, it rose again, continuing its mission of teaching and evangelizing. After 1 school year, on July 2004, the school was turned over to Rev. Fr. Victor Emmanuel I. Clemen, who led the school for 3 years. During his term, the CSBN gained a lot of prestige through winning in academic and sports competitions.
On May 2007, with the intention of uniting all parochial schools under one directorship, the present bishop of Novaliches, Most Rev. Antonio R. Tobias, DD, assigned Rev. Fr. Delvo to be the director and superintendent of all the member schools of the Parochial Schools Association in Novaliches (PSA - Nova).[1]
