Professor Chan Ka-keung, SBS, JP (traditional Chinese: 陳家強; simplified Chinese: 陈家强; pinyin: Chén Jiāqiáng; born 1957, Hong Kong) is the Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, the chairman of the KCRC, and member of Hong Kong International Theme Parks Board of Directors.

Education

He holds a bachelor degree in economics awarded by the Wesleyan University followed by an MBA and a PhD in Finance at the University of Chicago.

Career

Also known as Professor K.C. Chan, he taught for nine years at Ohio State University. In 1993 he was named Dean of Business/Management and Professor of Finance at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

"Before joining the government, Chan held a number of public service positions including chairman of the Consumer Council and director of the Hong Kong Futures Exchange."^[1] He was also a member of the Exchange Fund Advisory Committee.^[2]
