Listing =High Wheeldon is a distinctive dome shaped hill in Upper
Dovedale in thePeak District , overlooking the villages ofLongnor andCrowdecote . It is close to the more distinctive and wider knownChrome Hill andParkhouse Hill . Popular with walkers, and possessing excellent views of the Dove and Manifold valleys, High Wheeldon is in the care of theNational Trust , and has been since1946 . It serves as a memorial to the men fromDerbyshire andStaffordshire who were killed in the two world wars.
