State Route 96 is an east-west state road located in the western-central portion of the U.S. state of Georgia. In the east, it breaks off from U.S. Route 441 south of Irwinton and constitutes most of Jeffersonville Road going westward to Jeffersonville; it then travels through Bonaire, Warner Robins, Fort Valley and Reynolds until it merges into U.S. Route 80 in Geneva.

The Fall Line Freeway, which begins from Columbus along U.S. Route 80, is planned to follow S.R. 96 from Geneva to Fort Valley, where the Freeway will then follow S.R. 49 and its connector to Byron, where it will then follow to Macon on Interstate 75. This is also part of the route envisioned for the yet-to-be-constructed Interstate 14 that will stretch from Louisiana or Mississippi to either Georgia or South Carolina.
