The discography of Chely Wright, an American country artist, consists of seven studio albums, one live album, two compilation albums, one video album, two extended plays, and twenty two singles. After securing a publishing contract in the early 1990s, Wright signed with Polydor Nashville Records in 1994.[1]

Wright's debut album Woman in the Moon was released by Polydor Nashville in August 1994 and spawned the singles "He's a Good Ole Boy", "Till I Was Loved By You", and "Sea of Cowboy Hats".[2] The album did not peak on any Billboard chart and did not sell many copies.[3] In early 1996, Wright's second studio album Right in the Middle of It was released and issued three singles, including "The Love That We Lost" which only peaked at #41 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart in 1996.[4] In September 1997, Let Me In was released under MCA Nashville Records. The album's lead single "Shut Up and Drive" reached #14 on the Billboard Country Singles chart[1] and the album itself peaked at #25 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart and #171 on the Billboard 200 albums listing.[5] Wright's fourth studio album, Single White Female was released in May 1999, becoming her most successful release. The album's title track not only reached number one[1] on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart but is also her only Top Ten single to date; it also reached the Top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100.[6] It peaked at #15 on the Top Country Albums chart, #124 on the Billboard 200,[7] and was certified gold in the United States.[8]

In September 2001, her fifth album Never Love You Enough was released[3] and became her first album to peak within the Top 10 on the Billboard Top Country Albums list, while also reaching #62 on the Billboard 200. It spawned the title track and "Jezebel" as its two singles, both of which reached the Top 30 on Hot Country Singles and Tracks chart.[1] After leaving MCA Nashville and recording an extended play in 2004, Wright issued her sixth studio album in February 2005 titled The Metropolitan Hotel under Dualtone Records and her own Painted Red Music Group.[1] It debuted at #18 on the Top Country Albums chart and #96 on the Billboard 200 albums list, spawning the lead single "The Bumper of My SUV", which reached the Top 40 on the Billboard Country Singles chart in 2005.[9] After a five-year hiatus, Wright released her seventh studio album in May 2010 entitled Lifted Off the Ground, which discussed her own personal struggles[10] and debuted at #32 on the country albums chart.[11] Chely Wright has sold over 1,000,000 records according to Nielsen Soundscan.[12]
