California's 79th State Assembly District is one of 80 districts in the California State Assembly. It is currently represented by Democrat Mary Salas of Chula Vista.

The district currently consists of 15.05% of San Diego County including all of Coronado, Imperial Beach, and National City, 2.96% of Bonita, 62.56% of Chula Vista, and 16.37% of San Diego.
