Rob Arnold performing live with Chimaira at the Nokia Theatre Times Square on June 25, 2008Releases ↙Studio albums 6 ↙EPs 1 ↙Singles 6 ↙Video albums 3 ↙Music videos 6 The discography of Chimaira, an American heavy metal band based in Cleveland, Ohio, consists of six studio albums, an extended play (EP), six singles, three video albums, and six music videos. The group is composed of vocalist Mark Hunter, guitarists Matt DeVries (who replaced Jason Hager in mid-2001) and Rob Arnold, bassist Jim LaMarca, drummer Andols Herrick, and electronic specialist Chris Spicuzza.[1]
Their first release was the independently issued debut EP, This Present Darkness, which sold 10,000 copies.[1] After signing to Roadrunner Records, they released a 14-track debut full-length, Pass out of Existence, in August 2001. In May 2003, the band released their next album The Impossibility of Reason and peaked at number 117 on the Billboard Top 200.[2] Drummer Kevin Talley replaced Andols Herrick, the DVD collection The Dehumanization Process was released in 2004 and was followed by the third album, self-titled Chimaira, issued in 2005 which peaked at number 74 on the Billboard Top 200.[2] After an internal crisis due to pressure from the label by a new release, the band moved on from Roadrunner and signed a new deal with Ferret Music.[1] In early 2006, Andols Herrick rejoined the band and Chimaira recorded their fourth album Resurrection, which appeared in early March 2007.[1] Resurrection peaked at number 42 on the Billboard Top 200, the band's highest chart position.[2]
