Electoral district of Mount Gravatt

Electoral district of Mount Gravatt

Mount Gravatt is an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of Queensland.

The district is based in the southern suburbs of Brisbane. It includes the suburbs of Mount Gravatt, Mount Gravatt East, Eight Mile Plains, Robertson and Sunnybank. The electorate was first contested in 1950.

In 2008, Mount Gravatt has been marked for abolition according to the redistribution proposed by the Electoral Commission of Queensland. Under the plan, the present district would be divided between Chatsworth, Greenslopes, Mansfield, Yeerongpilly and a new seat called Sunnybank.
