Wayne Szalinski

Wayne Szalinski was born in 1950 to George and Marcia Szalinski. He grew up with his two brothers: Randy and Gordon. He was considered the biggest science 'nerd' in the family, although Randy was on the TV show 'Randy Rude: The Science Dude' As in High School, he was captain of the astrology three years in a row. There in High School, he met Diane Murdock. After graduating from UCLA, in 1973, they had their first born, Amy. Three years later, they had Nick. As Wayne became a scientist he worked at an Incorporation. With the trust and help from Dr. Brainard, Wayne continued to invent his machines: including the famous Shrink Ray. The day before the presentation of the Shrink Ray, Diane and him got into a small fight and Diane moved to her mother's house for a night. Wayne, the next morning, finished his machine, even though it blew things up and did not shrink. As the next door neighbor's baseball landed through the attic window and activated the machine while Wayne was at work, the Shrink Ray shrunk Amy and Nick and the boys next door: Russ and Ron. As Diane came back home, they looked for the children all night. Early in the morning, Wayne almost took a bite at Nick in his bowl of Cheerios. After un-shrinking the kids, his neighbor's, The Thompson's, had become good friends. After moving from California to Nevada, Wayne became part of another corporation where his ideas did not matter at most as the others, including Dr. Hendrickson. In Nevada, Diane became pregnant again: Adam. As Amy left for college, Wayne perfected his his machine to Blow things up. He accidentally grew Adam. As Nick and the babysitter Mandy looked for Adam, Diane and Wayne looked in a warehouse for the Shrink Ray. Adam would grow everytime he was near electricity and Adam was headed for Las Vegas. After being shrunk to normal, Wayne became head of an operation called SZALINSKI LABS. He moved to a close town in Nevada to live near his brother Gordon. When Adam was seven, he, Diane, Gordon, and Patti were shrunk. They tried to get Adam and his cousins Jenny and Mitch's attention. They finally did and now Adam is 18 and in his last year of High School.
