Daniel is located at 42°51′55″N 110°4′15″W / 42.86528°N 110.07083°W / 42.86528; -110.07083 (42.865172, -110.070921)[3].

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 5.5 square miles (14.1 km²), all of it land.

Daniel experiences a dry subarctic climate (Köppen Dfc) with long, cold, dry winters and short, warm summers.

Demographics

As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 89 people, 41 households, and 27 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 16.3 people per square mile (6.3/km²). There were 52 housing units at an average density of 9.5/sq mi (3.7/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 100.00% White.

There were 41 households out of which 24.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.7% were married couples living together, 9.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 34.1% were non-families. 31.7% of all households were made up of individuals and 4.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.17 and the average family size was 2.74.

In the CDP the population was spread out with 20.2% under the age of 18, 2.2% from 18 to 24, 31.5% from 25 to 44, 33.7% from 45 to 64, and 12.4% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 44 years. For every 100 females there were 97.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 86.8 males.

The median income for a household in the CDP was $26,250, and the median income for a family was $24,821. Males had a median income of $31,250 versus $43,438 for females. The per capita income for the CDP was $21,213. There were 21.7% of families and 24.4% of the population living below the poverty line, including 23.5% of under eighteens and none of those over 64.

Education

Public education in the community of Daniel is provided by Sublette County School District #1.
