United States Census Bureau , the CDP has a total area of 9.0square mile s (23.2km² ), of which, 8.9 square miles (23.1 km²) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 km²) of it (0.45%) is water.Demographics

census GR|2 of 2000, there were 29,308 people, 9,845 households, and 7,856 families residing in the CDP. Thepopulation density was 3,282.4 people per square mile (1,267.2/km²). There were 10,084 housing units at an average density of 1,129.4/sq mi (436.0/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 73.41% White, 4.65% African American, 0.60% Native American, 14.54% Asian, 0.65% Pacific Islander, 1.70% from other races, and 4.44% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 3.81% of the population.There were 9,845 households out of which 44.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 65.7% were married couples living together, 9.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 20.2% were non-families. 15.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 3.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.97 and the average family size was 3.31.
In the CDP the population was spread out with 30.3% under the age of 18, 6.9% from 18 to 24, 32.5% from 25 to 44, 23.1% from 45 to 64, and 7.3% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 35 years. For every 100 females there were 99.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 97.6 males.
