United States Census Bureau , the town has a total area of 39.6square mile s (102.6km² ), of which, 39.2 square miles (101.4 km²) of it is land and 0.4 square miles (1.1 km²) of it (1.11%) is water.Demographics

census GR|2 of 2000, there were 849 people, 306 households, and 223 families residing in the town. Thepopulation density was 21.7 people per square mile (8.4/km²). There were 458 housing units at an average density of 11.7/sq mi (4.5/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 98.35% White, 0.12% Native American, 0.35% Asian, 0.12% from other races, and 1.06% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.47% of the population.There were 306 households out of which 42.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 61.4% were married couples living together, 6.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 26.8% were non-families. 18.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 5.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.77 and the average family size was 3.20.
In the town the population was spread out with 29.8% under the age of 18, 5.5% from 18 to 24, 32.4% from 25 to 44, 23.8% from 45 to 64, and 8.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 37 years. For every 100 females there were 97.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 98.0 males.
The median income for a household in the town was $45,357, and the median income for a family was $48,214. Males had a median income of $31,250 versus $27,361 for females. The
