Boxing, Wrestling:12,600 The E Center is a 10,100-seat multi-purpose arena in West Valley City, Utah, southwest of Salt Lake City. The arena opened on September 21, 1997, and was used as an official Olympic Venue during the 2002 Winter Olympics, for ice hockey.

Notable Events

The entertainment venue has hosted numerous concert events including Dream Theater, Depeche Mode, Janet Jackson, Rod Stewart, Elton John, Black Eyed Peas, Prince, Dave Matthews Band, Backstreet Boys, The Pussycat Dolls, Fall Out Boy, Gwen Stefani, Enrique Iglesias, Pet Shop Boys, Neil Diamond, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Cirque du Soleil, Jonas Brothers, AC/DC, The Cure, Kiss, The White Stripes, Gigantour, Shania Twain, James Taylor, The Moody Blues, Collective Soul, Tori Amos, Sarah Mclachlan, Michael Bolton, Wynonna Mötley Crüe, Metallica, Michael Johns, The Up In Smoke Tour live and American Idols LIVE!. It has also hosted live television productions of Raw and portions of the 2002 Winter Olympics. The venue is also home to Sesame Street Live, The Wiggles, and Bob the Builder. and Aventura. Britney Spears will bring her tour to the arena in 2009.

Tenants

Its primary tenant is the ECHL Utah Grizzlies ice hockey team. In 2002, it was the main venue for ice hockey at the Winter Olympic Games. Canada beat the United States in both gold medal games. The arena used to be home to the Utah Freezz of the World Indoor Soccer League from 1999-2001 and the Utah Warriors of the NIFL from 2003-2004.
