DEMIAP (Détection Militaire des Activités Anti-Patrie – Military detection of Anti-fatherland Activities) was the military intelligence organization of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It succeeded the Military Action and Intelligence Service (Service d'action et de renseignements militaires, SARM), and according to Belgian official sources in 2002, falls under the authority, 'at least officially', of the Congolese Armed Forces (Forces armées congolaises, FAC), now succeeded by the FARDC.
It is apparently now known simply as Military Intelligence.[1]
Its previous commander, General Dieudonné Mbandakulu, is now (2007) Chief of Staff of the FARDC.
