KFWD (Analog 52/Digital 51) is an independent television station in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, broadcasting from a transmitter in Cedar Hill, Texas. Owned by HIC Broadcasting and managed by Belo Corporation, the station airs reruns of sitcoms and dramas, movies, religious shows, rebroadcasts of WFAA-TV programming, and a live nightly sports talk show.

KFWD signed on in 1988 as a Telemundo affiliate. When NBC bought Telemundo and KXTX, they pulled the affiliation from KFWD. KFWD then picked up English programming dropped by both KXTX and KSTR, which became a Telefutura affiliate. The station also picked up live sporting events (including FC Dallas soccer) that were dropped from KLDT.

Belo Corp. has an option to buy KFWD and create a duopoly with WFAA-TV. As of 2008, that has not yet happened. However, Belo does provide advertising sales assistance, certain technical services and facilities to support the operations of KFWD, as well as airing repurposed editions of WFAA's newscasts and other WFAA programming (including "The Oprah Winfrey Show") every evening. Belo also operates KFWD.tv, the station's website, in a visual format similar to all Belo stations.

In 2009, with the analog shutdown, KFWD will move its digital signal to channel 9.http://hraunfoss.fcc.gov/edocs_public/attachmatch/DA-06-1082A2.pdf] [http://fjallfoss.fcc.gov/cgi-bin/ws.exe/prod/cdbs/forms/prod/cdbsmenu.hts?context=25&appn=101233476&formid=387&fac_num=10758 CDBS Print ] ] However, through the use of PSIP, digital television receivers will display KFWD's virtual channel as 52.
