The station was opened on 29 October 1902 on the
Hell–Sunnanbanen line between Hell and Levanger as the section to Levanger was finished. Åsen was designed byPaul Due and was built with a surrounding park. A new station are a few hundred meters away from the old station with two platforms has been built, and the station building taken out of service.External links
