The station was opened on 29 October 1902 on the
Hell–Sunnanbanen line between Hell and Levanger as the section to Levanger was finished. Åsen was designed byPaul Due and was built with a surrounding park. The current building is from 1944, but has become disused by the railway and is an art gallery.External links
