-man4Mina-Jacqueline Au (born 10 July 1980, Hong Kong) is the youngest daughter of Asian fitness magnate, Kai T. Au and is the founder and CEO of United States luxury retailer Bon-Luxe. She has been described as a "Luxury Lifestyle Connoisseur" and "Style Expert" by media in the United States and Hong Kong.[1][2]
As a child, Au maintained a heavy social calendar, attending events and entrepreneurial outings often hosted by her late father, helping her to learn to mingle in elite social circles, while observing her father promote "Fitness as a Lifestyle". From these experiences, she developed an entrepreneurial instinct and an eye for luxury at a very young age. Having spent many summers traveling abroad in different parts of Europe, Au also developed a deep affinity for, and love of, European culture, as well as a command of four languages, attributes which would aid her later career in the rapidly evolving international luxury market.
Living in New York, Au honed her business acumen when she worked as a buying director at Cornelia Fifth Avenue and as a project manager at Marie-Chantal, LLC where she assisted HRH Crown Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece. Her advice and trend forecasts have also been featured in recognisable style reports such as Splendora, SheFinds, InStyle, NBC iVillage, CW11, Fashionable Life Radio, Elite Traveler, Chic TV and the Cornelia House Publication.
For New York Fashion Week 2007, Au's activities were documented by a film crew and a photography crew and broadcast and published in various media outlets nationwide and internationally.[3]
On Valentine’s Day 2007, Mina-Jacqueline Au combined her passion for luxury and love of exotic travels to found Bon-Luxe, a luxury lifestyle online shop.
Outside fo her work, Au serves as a board member on several creative committees of charitable organizations, including the New York Landmarks Conservancy and City-Meals-On-Wheels, where she is involved in events and fundraising initiatives. In late 2007, Au founded Daddy’s Smile Funds, a charitable organisation that donates to several designated community outreach and medical research charities.
Au is currently authoring a book.
