Lethbridge (formerly known as Lethbridge—Foothills) is a federal electoral district in Alberta, Canada, that has been represented in the Canadian House of Commons since 1917. It represents the counties of Lethbridge, Warner and Cardston.

History

This riding was originally created in 1914 from parts of Macleod riding.

In 1977, it was re-named "Lethbridge—Foothills".

In 1987, Lethbridge—Foothills was abolished and replaced by a new "Lethbridge" riding. the new riding was created from parts of Lethbridge—Foothills, Macleod and Medicine Hat ridings.

This riding has elected the following members of the Canadian House of Commons:

* 1993-1997: Ray Speaker - Reform
* 1997-present: Rick Casson - Reform (1997-2000), Canadian Alliance(2000-2003), Conservative (2003-present)

Current Member of Parliament

Its Member of Parliament is Rick Casson, a former manager of printing services at the University of Lethbridge. He was first elected in 1997. He represents the Conservative Party of Canada and is Chair of the National Defence Committee.
