Robinson is a city in Kidder County, North Dakota in the United States. The population was 71 at the 2000 census. Robinson was founded in 1911.

Geography

Robinson is located at coor dms|47|8|35|N|99|46|45|W|city (47.143094, -99.779129)GR|1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.2 square miles (0.4 km²), all of it land.

Demographics

As of the censusGR|2 of 2000, there were 71 people, 40 households, and 21 families residing in the city. The population density was 432.2 people per square mile (171.3/km²). There were 56 housing units at an average density of 340.9/sq mi (135.1/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 100.00% White.

There were 40 households out of which 10.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 45.0% were married couples living together, 2.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 47.5% were non-families. 47.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 30.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 1.78 and the average family size was 2.43.

In the city the population was spread out with 11.3% under the age of 18, 5.6% from 18 to 24, 14.1% from 25 to 44, 23.9% from 45 to 64, and 45.1% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 59 years. For every 100 females there were 91.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 85.3 males.

The median income for a household in the city was $30,625, and the median income for a family was $33,333. Males had a median income of $25,625 versus $21,875 for females. The per capita income for the city was $15,712. There were 8.3% of families and 7.8% of the population living below the poverty line, including no under eighteens and 20.0% of those over 64.
