Thomas Williams (RAF officer)

Air Marshal Sir Thomas Melling Williams KCB, OBE, MC, DFC & Bar, RAF (27 September 1899–10 June 1956) was a pilot in the Royal Flying Corps during World War I and a senior officer in the Royal Air Force during World War II and the following years.

At the start of 1943, Williams was appointed Air Officer Commanding the RAF's Air HQ in Bengal. Towards the end of World War II, he took up the senior appointment of Assistant Chief of the Air Staff (Operations).
